Our Club

The Queens & Jacks Square Dance Club has been in existence for over 60 years. And over that period the club has provided members and guests with many opportunities to enjoy dancing and socializing with a warm and welcoming group of people. Our club is run by an executive which meets a few times a year to discuss the on-going operation of the club. Once a year we hold an Annual General Meeting, which is open to all members.

Meet Our Caller and Cuer

Glenn Watts has been a modern square dance caller, teacher and choreographer since 1980, and has called for Queens & Jacks since 2007.  He is experienced in dancing Mainstream, Plus and Advanced levels of modern square dancing, and teaches beginner and mainstream dancers.

Glenn is also trained in choreographed ballroom dance – known as round dancing.  This goes hand-in-hand with modern square dance because round dancing has traditionally been part and parcel with square dancing.  He has taught line dancing, and has facilitated large crowd participation sessions.

Frances Levitt-Byler is our choreographed ballroom, or round dance, cuer.  Together she and Glenn provide us with excellent Mainstream evenings.
